My family Christmas.................
I am blessed. I have totally enjoyed my time at home (Lawson, MO). The past couple years Christmas has been tough at home. To many family issues. I will not bore you with the details. This year has been great. We have just had fun and enjoyed each other. I also got a whole bunch of stuff. Christmas would of still been great without all of it, but it sure is some nice cream on top. My gift list:
Star Wars Fooseball Table
500 World Series of Poker chip set
West Coast Choppers stocking cap
20 peice screw driver set
18 volt Black and Decker cordless drill (w/ extra battery)
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship figure set
Darth Vader fleece blanket
Battlebutt Gigantica...um...Battlestar Galactica season 2.0 DVD
$20 gift for Wal-Mart
No complaints here. I got more than I thought I would. Really it does not matter. What I really received was a great time with my family. The only gift better than that is Jesus Himself. After all, Jesus is the reason for the season. I wish all the best for you this Holiday Season. Merry Christmas!!!
A Christmas song for you....
So endless I have taken away
Patience yields to anger
As a world moves and bends to waves
Of sin that will not end
Wail as I fall from grace
Take the pause and wish it away
So many will be present
So few will see and know
O Saviour of the fools
O Saviour of the fools
Take the life that burns within
Surrender to the life less lived
A crowd of rolling thunder
That cannot make a sound
A day of a downcast fool
Who finds a chance inside a babies
eyes of no one else will live
misunderstood as Him
O Saviour of the fools
O Saviour of the fools
And in my weakness I
Vanish with the end
So bow and tremble
at the power in His hands
And in my darkness I
Am visited again
By the still small voice who calls
A fools to be a hero
For love, For love,.........
Christmas lights and trees can't heal
Broken lives and hearts that feel
The loneliness that fallen dreams
Leave nothing at all
Moments pass the star arrives
A baby is born, but born to die
To leave this world a light
That cannot be taken out
O Saviour of the fools
O Saviour of the fools
And in my weakness I
Manage to relive
The tear filled eyes of
wisemen standing on a hill
And in my darkness I
Am visited again
By the still small voice
that was born
On a silent night
To bring a life
For love, For love,.......

Spalms and Respalms.........
Dave has been doing Bible Redux post on his "PBB" blog. These are a retelling of Bible stories in a more structured story form. They are excellent and you should check them out.
In a similar way I am doing "Spalms." These are Psalms-like writings. I am not claiming them to be directly from God. These are writings of me figuring things out with God. I have written several. It was not my original intention to post them. They have been for me to put my thoughts down to help sort them out. I have also started what you could call a "Psalms Redux." They are writings that are inspired by or are a retelling of the Psalms. I do not want to officially call it a "Redux" because Dave is using that term. I will call them "Respalms." Here are a couple to get started (please remember I am not an English Ace):
Spalms 1
Oh my God!
I do not know what to do
I do not know what to say
Oh my God!
What do I do?
What do I say?
Oh my God!
Is it possible to do what I need to do?
Do words exist for what I need to say?
Oh my God!
What ever needs to be done, my actions stand still
What ever needs to be said, my mouth remains mute
Oh my God!
Their is nothing I can do
Their is nothing I can say
Oh my God!
You do what others cannot do
You do what others cannot say
And it is eternal
Oh my God!
Let what I do be what You do
Let what I say be what You say
Oh my God!
Respalms 1
O the joy we get when we delight in the Lord
Lord I want what You want
Your knowledge and wisdom must be on my brain
all day and all night
Lord lead me on the blinding path before me
Enjoy!

A Devotional: "I See Trees"...........
"I see people; they look like trees walking around."
In Mark chapter 8, Jesus heals a blind man. This was one of those weird healings. Weird as in, Jesus spit on the man's eyes. Did Jesus have to do this? Holy spit. I will be sure to ask Him one day. Something different happened with this healing. That holy spit let this man see something. This something is way over looked. Jesus was constantly at odds with the traditions of his day. The religious traditions in particular. The Pharasees were like trees. They were rooted deep and did not show signs of moving. They had hard coarse bark to shield them from anything contrary to their beliefs. They were set. Unmoved. Even when a tree dies its trunk and roots take years to break down. Usually we burn the trunk or take a truck and rip it out of the ground when the tree must move immediately. After Jesus let this man see trees walking around, He put His hands on him again giving 20/20 vision. Did this former blind man get the message? Did he live a life of a tree? I hope he actively pursued Christ everyday. I will ask him one day.
Are you a tree? When something is done differently around your faith, do you take a stand and sink your roots down further? Are you open to the concept that God will work in whatever way he wants no matter how stiff and hard you get? Lord help us to uproot ourselves.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe....
I only have time for a few quick thoughts.
If you have not seen it yet, go go go go go!!! It is nothing like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. This is no copy of anything. It is THE most accurate book to movie adaptation I have ever seen. The director did not try to do his own thing. He tried to look into the mind of Lewis and show us what it looked like. Thumbs up, way up!

5 Post in November........
November turned out to be a slow blogging month. I do not know what the deal is. It is not like I did not have anything to talk about. Maybe I just did not have much to say in mind when I thought about posting. November could just be slow. I only had three post last November. Anyways, moving on.
This is post #96. The big 100 is approaching fast. I need to get into blogging mode in a big way fast. I have big plans for that post and it will take some preparation. I am going to have some list. I have already stated that I would list my top 5 blog entries. You can still submit your favorites for a possible readers list. I am going to do a top 100 list (maybe). I can only think of two catagories that I could do a 100 list: Songs and Movies. Any other catagories I would have to drag out far. Let me know what you think.
2005 is almost over. 31 more days. I look back and wonder how many days I have wasted this year. I look back and think of the goals I had for the year. A few goals have been attained, but many have gone undone. I have made a list of goals for this last month. It is my attempt to salvage as much of the year as I can. It has not been a bad year. It has just been an "OK" year. I am not sure that I am ok with "OK." Let all of us make the best of what we have left of 2005.
Note: I have gone over 5000 hits on the site traffic counter. The best list I could do for 5000 is to count to it for you. Let's pass.
God Bless!
