Christmas.............................

There it is ladies and gents! I got my XBox for Christmas along with the Knights of the Old Republic game. I am happy. I might not be so happy when I realize how much time I will waste playing the thing. It was a joint gift from a few people masterminded by My Lady. I was also glad to see the family over the holiday. I apologize to those I did not get to see while I was in Missouri. The day that I planned on using to see some of you got taken up by some other family stuff. Sorry you got trumped by the family card.

Something I learned from A Christmas Story

If you have never seen this movie, then shame on you. TBS shows the movie for 24 hours straight starting on the evening of Christmas Eve. I might do a post reviewing the Christmas movies from my Christmas movie list I did. To the point. Ralphie recognized and rejected what he saw as uneccesary commercialism. The scene when he get his Orphan Annie decoder pin and then gets the secret message from the radio show. In jepardy of getting in trouble for taking up the bathroom Ralphie deciphers the message "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine." He realized that it was nothing but a stupid commercial. It was not some coded message that had any real substance to it. It was not even secret at all. Ralphie at his young age recognized this. Way to go Ralphie, you get an A+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +. It meant something to me, hope it does to you.

For the second year in a row I read How the Grinch Stole Christmas to my nieces and nephew. It is my own little Christmas tradition. Well, I hope it turns into a tradition. One day I will read it to my children. The Grinch is an awesome book and would do anyone good to read it. Not all Suess is just for children. It puts Christmas in perspective in relation to all the material things that revolve around Christmas. I will of course read the "real" Christmas story about Jesus along with the Grinch one day when I have children.

Riddle-De-Dum......................

Today I make my journey to the hometown in Missouri for Christmas. I only got a little more shopping left, but I must be clever because the money is running out fast.

The answer to my last riddle was "river," which was solved by Anonymous. I see our riddle solver wants to remain anonymous, or he/she does not realize that they can end their comment by typing in their name.

Let us do another riddle shall we.

There is a thing that nothing is,
Yet it has a name,
It is sometimes tall and sometimes short,
It joins our talks,
It joins our sport,
And plays at every game.

Dave,
Dark Tower update. The Waste Lands is wasted. It is Wizard and Glass time.

Sci Fi Daily......................

I want to give a shout out to a blog I have been reading for a few weeks. If you are a Sci Fi person you should go check this blog out. SciFiDaily. You will find much true taste and disscusion about the very overlooked genre of TV/Film: Science Fiction/Fantasy.

Changes in Holiday Movie List.......

I must recant and replace one of my 5 holiday movies-to-see from my post a few days ago. Since Chevy Chase publically called George W. Bush a "dumb F***" I will not be watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I have decided on a replacement even though I have not seen it. I thought it proper since Chevy was a "girly man" I will now watch the Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger in Jingle All The Way.

Another Riddle (kinda easy)..................

"What can run but never walks,
Has a mouth but never talks,
Has a bed but never sleeps,
Has a head but never weeps?"

Riddles answer.......................

This is a two part answer riddle. The answer is in this little jingle.

"Samson and a lion got in attack,

And Samson climbed up the Lion's back.
Well, you've read about lion killin men with their paws,
But Samson put his hands round the lion's jaws!
He rode that lion 'til the beast fell dead,
And the bees made honey in the lion's head"

Now, either no one tried to answer the riddle, or no one comes to my blog to read. I will try to post more riddles soon.

Happy Birthday Shout Outs......................

I tried to post a picture for this yesterday, but it seems it did not post. I got it figured out finally.

I want to wish My Lady a very happy 24th birthday!!! I wish I could be with you to celebrate the occasion.

I would also like to wish my brother Tyson a very happy 23rd birthday. And he is my little brother. I am getting older, wow!

Crusing at the speed of 2.08 GHz..................................

I stumbled on a computer the other day that looked like a good deal. Since my laptop is slowly desentegrating and will not connect to the internet at home, I jumped on the deal. I got it through a friend and it was one of those deals that you did not know for sure what what problems it might have, if any. After working through some of the issues, I now have a humming computer machine. It pretty much has it all and it will be work to fill the hard drive. Now I can get online at home at my leisure. I do have a computer at work, but their are limitatons to the network. When I try to pull up a blogger.com blog I have no idea what I am gonna get. Sometimes I will get mine, Dave's, My Lady's, Pealsup's, and many times some other person randomly. Whatever page comes up I get stuck with for the night. I can type in my blogspot address and pull up someone completely different. Weird stuff. It only happens on OBU network connected computers. Now I can stop with the guess work and read whatever blog I want at home. Also, with the new computer I can start playing Star Wars Galaxies. Can be very dangerous.

My Dot Com update: The new computer means I can start to seriously build my website. Yeah!

Busy November.................................

The lack of post in November is due to my being really busy. The two big things were my trip to Orlando and of course the Thanksgiving holiday.

While Oklahoma was beig pounded by nearly a week of rain I was enjoying the comfort of the sun in Orlando, Florida. It was a company trip for Extreme Inflatables (Of course, I work for them) to the IAAPA convention. Basically, I got to see the years new stuff in amusement gaming and entertainment. Example: I got to play the new Teken 5 arcade game before it has been released on the market. Their was also inflatable games, carnival rides (free rides), vendors (free food), and many other various things. The convention was so big that I did not see everything and I spent around 14 hours there. Being in Orlando demanded some visits to other locations. We spent one evening at Medival Times and we dropped by Universal Studios. Both of the places were worth the load of cash we dealt out for them. You can view some picture from the trip on My Lady's blog and I will post some of my own when I get my Dot Com up and going. Advise: November is the perfect time to vacation in Orlando at least. It was not crowded. It was not hot. We got to see everything and ride everything we wanted.

I spent Thanksgiving at My Lady's parent house. Technically it was Friday because she had to work Thursday night. It was still the same no matter what day. Food, food, and more food. All of it was good. We took in a movie on Saturday. National Treasure was good. I am sure it will not do good in the international market. It's all about the USA.

The Dark Tower report. Dave I am finally done with Drawing of the Three. The busy month delayed it a bit. I am now into Wastlands.

I would like to note Pealsup as an addition to my links. Mike is one of my buddies that I grew up with. He is a right wing nut job and proud of it. Love ya Mike. Check it out wether you are a nut job or a liberal weener.

Peace.
