Searching for me...........

My Dad Googled me recently. This encouraged me to do a search test on myself. Here are the search results on "Trevor Taylor" on five search engines and how far down I had to go to find me.

Ask Jeeves: 85th (what are they smoking?)
Yahoo!: 9th (and i use them for my website hosting)
AOL: 3rd (actually something good to say about AOL)
Google: 2nd (in the Darth Vader sounding voice "impressive")
MSN: NUMBER 1!!!!!! (I love you Bill Gates!!!)

What are your results?

I'm Lost...............

The first season of the show Lost is on MVP at Hollywood Video. For those who do not know, MVP is a program where you pay $15 a month and you get unlimited rentals from the MVP list. New releases go on the list 4 to 6 weeks after they are released. This makes for a good deal. Hollywood Video blows away Blockbuster. I just finished the first four episodes (maybe 3 since the first is a two parter). The first episodes were good and I will continue to watch the show. Mike, I am sure you are happy about that. I had my doubts at first. I was not sure how they could make crashed landed survivors extend out into a whole season without losing momentum. That could still happen, but the way they have set up the show so far gives me hope.

This is post #93. I am not receiving much input about the readers top 5 post list. If you did not know what i am taking about, refer to the post on October 31st.

The Wardrobe.........

The Dot Com is hosting it's first real event! TrevorTaylor.com is encouraging people to read through The Lion, theWitch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. Along with some people from my church, join us as we explore the world of Narnia together before it hits the big screen December 9th. I know some of you will just wait for the movie (Justin). If you are interested and want to participate, go to The Wardrobe section of my Dot Com.

(Justin, you can do it. It is a children's book. You can handle it.)

"Your skills are now complete"...............

I finally have the complete Star Wars Saga in my ownership. Have you bought your copy of Revenge of the Sith?

Marketing comment. Target, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy all had exclusive items available for the release of Episode 3. Of course they do this in hopes that you will buy the DVD from them. Target had the DVD packaged with a Darth Vader collectors coin (This is where I bought my DVD). Wal-Mart offered a bonus DVD with Star Wars documentaries (If anyone got this and would like to give it to me, I will gladly take it off of your hands). I do not see the need to buy 2 of the same DVDs just for the bonus disk. Wal-Mart also had 3 different 3-Figure Packs that went along with the DVD release. A Sith, Jedi, and Clonetrooper pack. I did get all of these. Best Buy offered a couple items exclusively, but neither one was attached to the DVD. A Darth Vader Unleashed figure and an Episode 3 3D Poster Sculpture. The sculpted posters are very cool. They are also very much a lot of money for a small thing. I would like to have a set of all of the 3D posters that are out, but I have enough other things I want to buy right now. I did buy the Darth Vader Unleashed figure. One of my collecting focuses is the Unleashed line of figures. This will actually be the last 7 inch Unleashed figure to come out. They are shutting down the line......kinda. Hasbro is putting out other "Unleashed" figures, but they are small and do not represent what the intentions and artwork of the original Unleashed line. I am sure you all wanted to know that. The Unleashed line coming to an end is good in some respects. My wallet. Not good in others. Some characters never made an appearance as an Unleashed figure (the Episode 3 Clonetrooper).

I had an advantage in getting these items today. I did not have to get in my own car and make a costly (in fuel) trip to the city to find all of this stuff. I was driving back from San Antonio today and just happened to pass by all of these fine retailers. Yay for me!!!
