I'd like to roll with the gangsters........UPDATED
Yes, these are very old baseball cards. They come from the 1909-11 T206 set. T206? If you know anything about baseball cards answer this: What is the most valuable baseball card?
That would be the T206 Honus Wagner. Not only was Honus a very good ball player, but only a handful of his T206 cards are known in exsistance. I have actually seen one in person before. Check this article out about the recent record breaking sale of the highest graded Wagner card.
I have been researching and done a little buying of pre-war baseball cards. Pre-war? Cards that came out before World War 2. Buying Ty Cobb, Cy Young, or Christie Matthewson cards are way out of my price range. I have turned to buying common baseball cards from the pre-war era. If you are not too picky about condition, you can get common T206 cards in the $10-$20 range.
Here are my six T206 cards. It is cool to look at and hold a baseball card that is nearly 100 years old. Dave, you do notice the Cubs player, Steinfeldt? I do not know for sure, but he could of been on that 1908 Cubs World Series champ team.
Yes, these guys are white and I am nerdy.
UPDATE: Thanks to Dave and his web searching skillz, I can confirm that Harry Steinfeldt was on the 1908 World Champion Cubs and batted .471 in the Cubs whooping of Detriot in the 1907 World Series.

Response to a lament.....................
To know what this is about, you will have to read Dave's post/poem about the Cubs HERE.
Dave, here is my tribute/response to your lament. Sorry that Andre's card is of him with the Expos. It is my autographed card. Do not have a Ryne auto YET. Two great players. Both Cubs.
Of course we all know the Royals struggle too. The difference is, I remember the Royals winning the 1985 World Series over the Cardinals. Game 7, we kicked the crap out of the Cards 11-0. Bret Saberhagen pitched. I was six years old and I remember.

Dave, please don't fire me..............
OK. I have a few minutes.
A quick rundown of the past few months in the life of Trevor (sorry if I leave something out).
-I have been married for over a year now. Celebrated The anniversary in Eureka Springs.
-Self-employment has been keeping me busy. I now technically have employees.
-I got published in Collectable Magazine. It is a British publication. I wrote the article about my Star Wars story. Big thanks to Dave for his mad proofreading skillz.
-I am helping the Toy and Action figure Museum in Pauls Valley, OK set up a Star Wars 30th anniversary display.
-My baseball card collecting has turn vintage. Very vintage. I own six T206 cards now. Do you have a "?" above your heads? The 1909-11 T206 set has the famously rare Honus Wagner card. You can buy commons from this set (if you are not too picky about condition) for very affordable prices. I also have some other vintage cards that I will not talk about right now.
-Speaking of baseball.........It's here!!!! Royals won their home opener. I am in two fantasy leagues. It is going to be a good summer.
-Event pass, plane ticket, and hotel reservations are all in place for my trip to L.A. in May for Star Wars Celebration 4. AND.....I have my ticket for the Dodgers vs. Cubs game while I am there. Go Cubs!
-Speaking of the Dodgers.......I have been listening to an audio book about Sandy Koufax. It is fantastic.
-I got high this morning.......at the denist. Had some work done to some molars. I have never had a problem going to the denist. The worst part is when you are waiting for you mouth to get feeling again.
-This summer.......Transformers the movie. Heck ya!!!
I know their is more, but I must get back to work. I cannot set a bad example for my workers.
