Going to the Ship baby!!!................

Has it really been two weeks?

Here is a short list, since I do not have a lot of time.

- I had the awesome opportunity to hang out with Dave for an evening this past Saturday. Always fun with Dave.
- I really am trying to get to the next Podcast.
- Lost my cell phone this past weekend. Whoever found it actually picked it up when I called. After a couple conversations, I got the drift that they had no intention of giving it back. The In-Laws saved the day. They had a an extra Nokia laying around. I was only out of communication range for a day.
- I have been rediscovering baseball cards. How fun.
- Work has been good and busy.
- The next post will be #200. I might try to do something cool.
- Season 3 of Lost in a week.
- Even better, season 3 of Battlestar Galactica in 9 days!!!
- I won the championship in both Fantasy Baseball leagues that I was in. Bamm!!!!
- I am not doing so hot in Fantasy Football. I am 2-7 across three leagues.

I nabbed John Rueben's hotel room......

In case you do not know, I do work for an inflatable game company. It used to be full-time, now it is when ever. Last year we had the opportunity to do the Shoutfest events. Shoutfest is a one day Christian music festival that travels around to do Saturday and Sunday events in the late summer to early fall. I was asked to do these events again this year. Of course I accepted!!! We have done dates in Tulsa; Oklahoma City; Columbus, MS; and Somerset, KY. I did not go to Columbus because I went to Rock the Light in Kansas City. This past weekend we were in Somerset. Good band line up. It would of been some nice cake topping icing if Day of Fire would of been their too. They had been at the two Oklahoma events. The Somerset line-up included Fireflight, Flatfoot 56, Manafest, John Reuben, Skillet and Pillar to name my favorites. "But Trevor," in a nagging teenage girl voice, "Building 429 was there." Whoopdi freakin doooo!!! Eleventyseven has a song about MySpace, so that does them in. If you want punk, go with Flatfoot 56. They have a bagpipe player and wear kilts.

I challenged John Rueben to a game of Duck Duck Goose. Click here if you do not know what I am talking about. I REIGN SUPREME!!!!!! What was the prize of my victory? His hotel room!!! I have the proof right here!!!

Ok, ok, ok. I did not play John Reuben in Duck Duck Goose, but the hotel room that Shoutfest gave us was originally intended for John Rueben. I guess he took off in his tour bus.

Goodbye Steve..................

In case you have not heard, Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter" died recently. He was stung in the heart while filming a documentary on stingrays. My wife told me that this was the first documented case of a death by a stingray in 60 years.

I know that people had different opinions about Steve. Many thought he was insane. I thought the guy was awesome. This guy could have the life description of a comic book superhero. "He wrestled with crocodiles, anacondas, and sharks. The rattle of a rattle snake was not a warning for him, but and invitation." Steve did more than most people will do with their lives. He lived doing what he always wanted to do. He died doing exactly what he wanted to do with his life. If you died right now, would it be doing what you want to do in your life? If your life tragically ended short, would it be while you were living out your dreams and hopes for life?

My prayers go out to the Irwin family as they mourn the loss of their hero.
