Everyone go buy and read this book. It does not matter if you like war stories or not. Beyond Band of Brothers: The War Memoirs of Major Dick Winters was my first book to read for 2007. Amazing. This is the type of book that will make you a better person. It will at least make you want to be a better person, regardless if you are already a good person. I have read a handful of war books. None have made me want to skip work and keep reading.

No other soldier from Easy Company has written a war memoir. This is the only one and will probably stay that way since the remaining survivors are in their eighties. Dick Winters is one of my heros.
